Finally, we did it! It took quite a while but we did it.   After haggling with lenders, dealing with agents, managing contractors, and postponing the closing multiple times we did close on our new home today.  Lynn has been great through the whole process and I only ‘lost it’ a couple of times.

Lynn was very gracious and brought the sellers a wooden pen that the had made.  Interestingly, she made the pen from wood taken from the old barn on the property.  The sellers were great too.  They offered to help with anything that we needed and even offered up some old pictures that they have of home.

Now for the hard part.  Next up, signing a contractor with the GC and starting the construction.  If you are wondering, we hope to start the construction in early March and finish in early July.
